At Rives du Lac, your campsite in the Tarn region, every detail has been thought of to ensure that your stay is a pleasant one. Welcoming reception, tasty snacks, practical services, activities for all ages: you’ve got everything you need on site or just a stone’s throw away. The family-run campsite opposite Lac du Laouzas makes it a point of honour to offer you a warm welcome and quality services, so that you can make the most of nature, the lake and the pure air of the Monts de Lacaune.
Campsite reception
Your stay begins at reception, the beating heart of the campsite. Our bilingual (French and English) team will give you a warm welcome, hand you your access badge, show you the campsite map and answer any questions you may have. You’ll also find brochures and tourist information on the region: walks, water sports, local markets, events… in short, everything you need to plan your day. The tourist office is just a 10-minute walk away: a mine of additional information for exploring the wonders of the Tarn and the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park.
Reception hours in July and August:
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm / 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
- Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday: 3.00 pm – 7.00 pm

Bar and snack bar in Nages: eat in or take away
Don’t feel like cooking during your stay? The campsite bar and snack bar is there for you! Open in July and August, every morning it offers bread baked on site, Viennese pastries and a full breakfast to get the day off to a good start. For lunch, there’s a snack bar with poulet-frites, sausages, paninis, nuggets… enough to fill you up before a kayak trip or a hike! In the evening, the atmosphere changes and the crêperie takes over, with homemade galettes and crêpes prepared with local produce. You’ll also find a vegetarian option with the galette fromage, and gluten-free galettes. All can be eaten on the terrace or taken away to your pitch or rental accommodation. Themed evenings are organized in high season, a great opportunity to share a convivial moment with camping neighbors!
For nature lovers in the most literal sense of the word, thenatural camping area allows you to set up even closer to the water: some pitches are less than 30 m from the lake. Waking up with your feet on the grass and the lake as your horizon, it’s hard to imagine a better way to reconnect with the essentials.
Snack bar opening times in July and August:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. / 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. / 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
- Thursday: 4 p.m. – 10 p.m.
- Tuesday: closed
Additional rentals available
Travel light. We’ll take care of the rest. For even more comfort, Les Rives du Lac offers a number of additional rentals, subject to availability:
- Sheet kit: can be hired for your accommodation (sheets not supplied by default).
- Towel kit: available for rental
- Baby equipment: cot, high chair, bathtub
- Refrigerator: subject to availability
- Housekeeping option: available if you do not wish to do the end-of-stay cleaning yourself.

Prices for extras are available at the time of booking. These extra services allow you to travel light while enjoying comfortable accommodation overlooking Lac du Laouzas.
Playroom for older children
Teens and adults also have their own space! The games room, located next to reception, features billiards, table soccer and a variety of games. Open Monday to Friday from 4 pm to 9:30 pm (closed on Tuesdays), it offers a convivial meeting place, ideal for evenings when neighbors want to laugh and challenge each other.
Sports fields and facilities
Want to get moving? The campsite has a pétanque court, ping-pong table and volleyball court. Sports equipment is also available on loan: tennis rackets, badminton rackets, balls… A full program for outdoor sports enthusiasts, without even leaving the campsite!
Shops close to the campsite
Everything you need is just a wheel or a foot away!
Shops include supermarkets, pharmacies, veterinary surgeons, doctors, nurses, banks, bakeries, tobacconists, butchers, hairdressers, beauticians, etc., as well as a gas station in Lacaune. For electric vehicles, there’s also a fast-charging station (a traditional charging station is also available in Nages).
A 10-minute walk will take you to the water sports center, spa and tourist office, the free swimming pool at the leisure center and the Laouzas restaurant. A shuttle service to Lacaune is available in July and August, making it easy to visit the charcuterie capital and its local markets, or discover the Nages brewery. A 10-minute drive away, the KBO restaurant welcomes you for a gourmet break. All day-to-day shops and services are within easy reach, making Les Rives du Lac family campsite in the Tarn an ideal base for exploring the whole region, between Tarn, Hérault and Aveyron.
