Located in Nages, our lakeside campsite in the Tarn puts you at the heart of an exceptional natural environment, at an altitude of 800 m, in the heart of the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park.
Lac du Laouzas is an unspoilt stretch of freshwater with sandy, grassy shores, ideal for swimming, water sports and fishing. Here, there’s no motor noise or unnecessary bustle: just calm, nature and the simple pleasure of being at the water’s edge as a family or couple. Camping on the shores of Lac du Laouzas is the assurance of an authentic vacation, as close as possible to the essentials.
Wake up to lake views from your rental apartment
Imagine opening the shutters of your chalet and discovering Lac du Laouzas stretching out in the morning light. That’s what the Rives du Lac residential park has to offer: 18 chalets perched high above the lake, offering breathtaking panoramic views. Covered terrace, garden furniture, peace and quiet… Every morning becomes a privilege.
For nature lovers in the most literal sense of the word, thenatural camping area allows you to set up even closer to the water: some pitches are less than 30 m from the lake. Waking up with your feet on the grass and the lake as your horizon, it’s hard to imagine a better way to reconnect with the essentials.
Swimming and supervised beach in the heart of the Tarn
Lac du Laouzas boasts a supervised public beach, Plage de Rieumontagné, which has been awarded the Pavillon Bleu label. The beach can be reached free of charge from the campsite in just a few minutes on foot. The sandy, grassy shoreline is perfect for sunbathing, playing in the water or simply admiring the scenery. Swimming is permitted all day long, in a safe, delimited area, with a first-aid post on site (July-August).
The beach is accessible to people with reduced mobility, and sanitary facilities are available nearby, along with a shower and rinse area. A launch is also available for those wishing to launch their boat.
A family beach, practical and well-equipped, to enjoy the water in complete peace of mind.
Please note: dogs are not allowed on the beach in July and August, but an area is reserved for them on another part of the lake.
Sailing school 300 m from campsite
Always wanted to learn to sail? Now’s your chance! There’s a sailing school just 300 m from the campsite, offering sailing lessons and paddles for hire. Open to beginners and experienced sailors alike, the school lets you discover the joys of sailing on the calm, crystal-clear waters of Lac du Laouzas.
Whether you’re alone, a couple or a family, enjoying a sailing lesson or paddle session in this exceptional natural setting is an experience in itself. Lac du Laouzas, with its generous expanse and wooded shores, offers ideal conditions for the practice of sailing sports, far from the hustle and bustle of seaside resorts.
